Born Of The Will Of God

John 1:10: He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

When we are born of the will of God we are also born TO DO the will of God. The will of God is not just a flash-in-the-pan. The will of God never changes because He never changes.

Malachi 3:6: For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

His will becomes our will in this life and in the life to come. While His will never becomes the will of our flesh His will should become increasingly important and delightful to us as we grow spiritually. Doing the will of God will be the mark of a mature and growing believer and the best evidence that He is a child of God.

Mark 3:35: For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Not doing the will of God will keep us from the knowledge of God, from knowing Him and from the knowledge of the truth.

John 7:17: If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

Those who have been born of the will of God should increasingly walk in the Spirit, present their bodies to Him and keep their bodies under.

Galatians 5:16: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Romans 12:1: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Corinthians 9:27: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

2 Peter 3:9: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The first thing we must repent of is rejecting Christ and once we have received Him repentance for our other sins should become a way of life.
